Lebara's data add-on page currently lists 2GB for £3, 5GB for £5 and 20GB for £10. Each card is labelled for 4G and 5G data.¹

Prices can change, so treat the table as a guide and confirm the product in your account. The smallest bundle is not always the cheapest per gigabyte, but it may still cost less overall if renewal is close.

How to buy extra data

1. Check the active plan.Sign in to MyLebara and select the right number if your account manages more than one SIM.
2. Note the renewal or expiry date.This tells you how long the add-on can remain useful.
3. Open UK Add-Ons.Choose 2GB, 5GB or 20GB and read the live price and product summary.
4. Confirm the correct number.Extra data attached to another family member's SIM will not help yours.
5. Finish the purchase.Keep the confirmation message or screen until the allowance appears.
6. Check the new balance.MyLebara should show the plan and extra data before you return to streaming, maps or hotspot use.

Lebara's terms allow plans and add-ons to be bought online, through the MyLebara app, in a shop or by SMS.³ The website or app is usually clearer because it shows the selected number and product together.

How long does a Lebara data add-on last?

Lebara's UK Add-Ons page says you need an active plan and that the add-on expires when the plan does.² Its terms are more precise: an add-on ends after 30 days or when the plan renews, whichever comes first.³

If your plan renews tomorrow, buying 20GB today does not give you another 30 days to use it. The add-on follows the existing plan clock. Check that date before choosing a size.

Add-ons do not auto-renew, although a plan can renew automatically when enough credit is available.³⁴ This distinction matters if you expect the extra bundle to reappear next month.

Lebara's terms say that once plan data is used, a customer may buy an add-on or add credit to the account.³ Those routes are not interchangeable. If you want a known quantity of extra UK data, select the data add-on rather than assuming a cash top-up has become a bundle.

One add-on can be a sensible bridge after an unusually busy month. Buying extra data every month is a different story. Add the plan price and your usual add-on spend, then compare that total with a larger plan.

Check the timing before changing anything. A new plan purchase, an automatic renewal and a mid-cycle add-on affect the account differently. Lebara says prepaid plans renew automatically when enough balance is present, and MyLebara shows the plan and credit balance.⁴

When the data has gone missing

If the add-on will not buy or does not appear

1. Confirm the account state.Lebara says an active plan or top-up is needed to buy an add-on.⁵
2. Check the chosen mobile number.This catches purchases made against the wrong SIM on a multi-number account.
3. Refresh MyLebara.Sign out and back in, then check the plan and add-on balances again.
4. Use a balance check.Dial *#1345# to see the balance, dial 5588 to hear it, or use MyLebara online or in the app.⁶
5. Allow a short update window.Lebara says top-ups can take a few minutes to appear. Contact support if a top-up is still absent after four hours.⁶
6. Stop repeated purchase attempts.Lebara's troubleshooting page says a failed add-on purchase may mean the account has reached its add-on limit.⁵

Keep the payment confirmation and note the affected number. Support can do more with those details than with the traditional technical diagnosis of "it ate my money".
